Jean-Luc Brendel’s four suites next door to the Brendelstub (see 'Places to eat') skilfully combine the quirks of a 14th-century house with funky modern décor. Free wi-fi in rooms and private lock-up parking. For a longer stay (minimum 3 nights) base yourself in their gorgeous self-catering house set in a cottage garden 2 minutes’ walk from the village on the edge of the Schoenenbourg vineyard. – sleeps 2-4.
Useful information: Suites: €115-€299 depending on how many nights you stay. Usually two-night minimum requirement for weekends.
