Overnight in Colmar
Take Route des Vins up to Riquewihr
Visit Hugel, Riquewihr
Explore Riquewihr on foot
Lunch Riquewihr (La Table du Gourmet, or d'Brendelstub, of Le Sarment d’Or)

Visit Trimbach, Ribeauvillé
Explore Ribeauvillé, shop at Beauvillé for table linen
Continue north to Bergheim, glass of wine at Winstub du Sommelier, return via motorway to Colmar


Ideal Two-Day Itinerary

Day One

Drive to Niedermorschwihr
Breakfast at Christine Ferber's pastry shop, Niedermorschwihr
Visit Albert Boxler, Niedermorschwihr
Take scenic country road (D11) up to Orbey
Lunch Ferme-Auberge Patrick Chaize

Gentle post-prandial walk in the Vosges
Head back down to Kaysersberg
Explore Kaysersberg, Musée Albert Schweitzer
Dinner and overnight at Chambard

Day Two

Visit 1: Domaine Weinbach, Kaysersberg
Visit 2: Jean-Marc Bernhard, Katzenthal
Lunch Taverne Alsacienne, Ingersheim

Continue to Ammerschwihr, Kientzheim (Château de Kientzheim, home of Conférie St-Etienne), drive up to war memorial Sigolsheim for superb views out over Rhine plain and Germany.
Return to Colmar for final visit to Musée Unterlinden
