Return via Turckheim - wander around old town, visit Cave de Turckheim cooperative (16 Rue des Tuileries) to stock up on everyday quaffing wine

Day One

Stay night before in Colmar

MORNING
Take N83 south to Pfaffenheim
Visit 1: Pierre Frick, Pfaffenheim
Continue down N83 to Soultz
Lunch Metzgerstuwa, Soultz

AFTERNOON
Visit Domaines Schlumberger, Guebwiller
Explore Guebwiller, Dominican and St-Leger churches
Dinner and overnight at Le Schaeferhof, Murbach

Day Two

MORNING
Take country road D430 up to Le Markstein, then back down past Grand Ballon on D431 - park and walk anywhere up here, to work off yesterday's excesses
Strike south on D13 via Goldbach to Thann
Visit Collégiale (parish church) and wander old streets
Light lunch at Au Petit Rangen

AFTERNOON
If time (and interest) visit Car Museum (www.collection-schlumpf.com) and/or Railway Museum (www.citedutrain.com), Mulhouse
Return on D430 dual carriageway towards Guebwiller, then north on N83 to Westhalten
Late afternoon Visit: Agathe Bursin, Westhalten
