Millésima is the last Bordeaux wine merchant to keep warehouses right on the quays, making it a piece of history. Even today it has the biggest stocks of any cellar in Bordeaux, with around three million bottles. In 2004, the company invested €800,000 in a new architect-designed reception room and boutique, creating a sleek modern space, with row upon row of pure  crus classés . The tour takes you through the cellars (key Burgundy and Rhône wines are also stocked here) and  can include horizontal tastings of Super Seconds, classic Sauternes wines, an overview of the Bordeaux vineyard – even all of the First Growths, all on request.

Useful information: Monday - Sunday throughout the year, reservation only. Groups welcome (7 - 40 people) with three wines tasted (Cru Bourgeois châteaux from owner Patrick Bernard, although other wines available for additional price), presentation of négociant system, cellar visit and boutique from €14 to €82.60 per person according to the number of participants. Tours in English, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
