An annual regatta held during the harvest weekend in September where different châteaux race against each other in sailing boats (usually the third weekend in September, but check with the Blaye tourist office).
Every year the town hosts an international jazz festival in July so if you can coincide your visit with this weekend you will enjoy a memorable few days.

Festival held over the 3rd weekend in August, where you can drive vintage Cadillac cars around the region, plus go on organised walks through the vineyards, and visit several food and wine markets.
