Patrick Carteyron (fifth-generation of the same family here) has been producing consistently good quality Bordeaux wine at this 40ha estate for years, and shows no signs of slowing down. He sells his wine 100% direct, and the full range of whites, reds and rosés are available for tasting at the property. A new vinification cellar was built here in 2001, and he has introduced an interesting wine in 2009, called Natur, that is made with no-added sulphur.

Useful information: Free tour and tasting in French, English or German. Groups only up to ten people (“because I like to keep tours friendly and welcoming”) . Daily from Monday-Saturday lunchtime. No appointment necessary if between 09.00-12.00 and 14.00-17.00 (although please make an appointment for visiting the vineyards and for the ‘terroir’ tour). All wines are available to buy direct.
