You walk past a rose garden and perfectly manicured lawns to get to this well-proportioned, stately manor house that also has an excellent visitor centre and boutique. Brainaire Ducru is owned and run by Patrick Maroteaux and since his arrival in 1988 it has been subject to complete renovations inside and out. Make sure you see the high-tech circular winery and the adjoining tasting room, both of which are among the most impressive in the appellation. The visit includes a tasting of two wines - Branaire Ducru and the second wine Duluc de Branaire Ducru.

Useful information: Visit by appointment Monday to Saturday April-October 9.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.30; November-March Monday-Friday 09.30-12.00 and 14.00-16.00. €8 per person; for groups of 10-25 €6. Tasting of two wines - Branaire Ducru and the second wine Duluc de Branaire Ducru.
