Itineraries

IDEAL ONE DAY ITINERARY

MORNING
Starting out from Bordeaux, drive down the N113 to Podensac.
Visit 1: start off the day at the Maison du Vins, getting to know the region.
Visit 2: Château de Seuil and enjoy their white Graves.
Drive down to Sauternes and have lunch at Le Saprien.

AFTERNOONAfter lunch, wander round the village of Sauternes, exploring the church and possibly driving off to the Cirons River for a stroll.
Visit Château la Tour Blanche or Chateau Guiraud. Both visits give a great overview of the area.

 

IDEAL TWO DAY ITINERARY

DAY ONE
MORNING
Starting out from Bordeaux, drive down the N113 to Podensac.
Visit 1: start off the day at the Maison du Vins, getting to know the region.
Visit 2: Château de Seuil and enjoy their white Graves.
Drive down to Sauternes and have lunch at Le Saprien.

AFTERNOON
After lunch, wander round the village of Sauternes, exploring the church and possibly driving off to the Cirons River for a stroll.
Visit Château la Tour Blanche or Chateau Guiraud. Both visits give a great overview of the area.
Check in to Relais du Château d’Arche to enjoy a bit more Sauternes over a leisurely supper.

DAY TWO
MORNING
Get up and wander back down into Sauternes, where there is a very nice  boulangerie  just next to the church.
Visit 1: Chateau Brouset
Visit 2: Château Doisy- Daëne
If time, do a drive round the area, ending up at the St-Vincent de Preignac church in Bommes.
Lunch: Le Restaurant du Parc, Domaine de Grenade.

AFTERNOON
Take a walk around the park to walk off lunch. Then head back up the N113 and just get in one more visit today.
Visit Château Chantegrive.
