Château Suduiraut

Address: Suduirat, 33210 Preignac
Tel: 05 56 63 61 90  Fax: 05 56 63 61 93
Geo-coordinates:  Latitude: 44:33:26N (44.55729)    Longitude: -0:19:14W (-0.32047)

Like Guiraud, this estate is located right next door to Yquem. Not exactly easy keeping up with the Joneses… However, Suduiraut makes exceptional wine, and is owned by AXA Millesimes and run by the talented Christian Seely of Château Pichon Longueville (in Pauillac) and Château Petit Village (in Pomerol). The estate covers 92ha and falls in a warm microclimate that allows for slightly earlier picking dates than many of its neighbours. Since 2004, the ‘S’ de Sauternes was launched, a dry white wine.

Useful information: Free tour and tasting, strictly by appointment from Monday to Friday 09.00-12.00 and 14.00-17.30. Groups welcome (to a maximum of 50, and ideally no more than 25). Wine can be bought direct. English and Chinese spoken.
