One-Day Ideal Itinerary

MORNING
Coffee and croissant on the terrace of one of the cafés in Chalon-sur-Saône
Take a tour of the old town
Discover and taste wines from the different appellations of Burgundy at the Maison des Vins
Drive to Rully
Lunch at La Grange

AFTERNOON
Visit 1: Domaine Brelière, Rully
Visit 2: Domaine Suremain, Mercurey
Return to Chalon-sur-Saône
Dinner at Le Bistrot or a snack at the 120 Cent Vins wine bar.

 

Two-Day Ideal Itinerary

Day One

MORNING
Coffee and croissant on the terrace of one of the cafés in Chalon-sur-Saône
Take a tour of the old town
Discover and taste wines from the different appellations of Burgundy at the Maison des Vins
Lunch at Le Bistrot

AFTERNOON
Drive to Mercurey
Visit 1: Domaine Suremain, Mercurey
Drive on north to Bouzeron
Visit 2: Anne and Jean-François Delorme
Either dinner and overnight at Lameloise in Chagny, or for a less expensive night:
Drive on to Verdun sur le Doubs
After a walk along the river bank, eat at the Hostellerie Bourguignonne to try the famous pôchouse verdunoise
Overnight there.

Day Two

MORNING
Drive to Rully
Visit 1: Domaine Brelière
Visit 2: Michel Briday
Lunch at La Grange

AFTERNOON
Drive to Givry
Visit 1: Domaine Ragot
If time drive south to Buxy
Visit 2: Cave des Vignerons de Buxy
Or return to Chalon-sur-Saône for shopping or a visit to 120 Cent Vins.
