It was through the efforts and perseverance of Aubert De Villaine that Bouzeron was able to achieve the designaton Appellation Contrôlée, the only appellation for the Aligoté grape variety. An eminent personality in the world of Burgundian wine, Aubert de Villaine and his wife Pamela run a family domaine with a high reputation, and have been organic since 1986. Their wines are pure, fine and racy – very representative of their appellation and at affordable prices. Their wines come from the appellations of Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise, Bouzeron, Rully and Mercurey. In my view this domaine is a point of reference for the Côte Chalonnaise and a visit is highly recommended.
