Raphaël Sallet runs this immaculate 24ha domaine with precision and flair making long-lived wines with a sense of place. His two Mâcon Villages wines from the pretty northern communes of Uchizy and Chardonnay (the latter village the cradle of the famous white grape) show a quite different character reflecting their different terroirs. Yet both have wonderful vivacity and aromas of white flowers, typical of this corner near Tournus. There is also a chambre d’hôte here with four simple pristine bedrooms of real farmhouse character allowing you to stay on this well respected working wine estate.
