Tom Stevenson and Michael Edwards

Tom Stevenson is the author of 23 critically acclaimed books and winner of 32 literary awards, including Wine Writer of the Year three times, and The Wine Literary Award, America's only lifetime achievement award for wine writers. Tom has specialised in Champagne since embarking on a six-year research project that culminated in the publication of Champagne (Sotheby’s Publications, 1986). In 1998, his Christie’s World Encyclopedia of Champagne & Sparkling Wine (Absolute Press) was the first book to publish a 17th century document proving that the English invented the so-called ‘méthode champenoise’ six years before Dom Pérignon set foot in Hautvillers. Above all else, Tom is known for his The Sotheby's Wine Encyclopedia: The Classic Reference to the Wines of the World, with more than 600,000 copies sold in 14 languages. In addition to his own books, Tom conceived Wine Report, which requires the coordinated cooperation of 43 highly volatile specialist contributors to provide an annual insiders guide to what’s going on in the constantly changing, ever-expanding world of wine. Published annually, Wine Report was voted Best in the World in two consecutive years by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, the only book ever to do so.
