This solid Victorian house and cellars off the Boulevard Maréchal Foch is home to one of the best, if least known, family Champagne firms in Epernay. Founded in 1852, the current generation are a charming young couple: Vincent Testulat is a trained oenologist, his wife Agnes comes from southern Champagne (the Aube) where her family have fine vineyards in Celles-sur-Ource to supplement Vincent's sizeable holdings in Grand Cru Chouilly on the Côte des Blancs and hillside slopes planted to Pinot Meunier around Epernay. Quality and value are the touchstones here: especially the rich full Blanc de Noirs, the fruit-laden Rosé and the 2004 Cuvée Paul Vincent, named after the couple's young son. Exemplary Champagnes.
