Restaurant Chez Morganti

Address: Marina d’Albu, 20217 Ogliastro
Tel: 04 95 37 85 10   Fax:
Geo-coordinates:  Latitude: 42:48:34N (42.809481N)    Longitude: 9:20:10E (9.3361E)

Only 25km up the western shore of the Cap Corse, but a world away from the agitation of St-Florent, Chez Morganti has been serving its specialty seafood and lamb dishes since 1898. The Morganti family still owns and operates the restaurant, the oldest on the Cap, and there’s still a family feel, including courteous and professional servers. Inside the large, simply decorated restaurant there’s a fireplace for chilly evenings, but the place to eat is on the terrace, surrounded by century old plane trees and the even older St-Roch chapel. There’s a delicious Soupe de Poissons du Cap Corse for €15 but if you want an unforgettable meal, you’ll go for the Menu langouste (400-600g of langouste), which will set you back €80. Or call 24 hours in advance and reserve the Bouillabaise Royale for two. Good selection of Patrimonio wines.

Useful information: Menus start at €22; Order à la carte, and you’ll spend €45. April - October open seven days a week; rest of the year, Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime only. Closed between around December 20 – February 5. Credit cards accepted.
