Superlatives abound at this vineyard north of Ajaccio: it’s the highest on the island, with vines located between 400 and 500 meters in altitude. It’s one of the oldest - being in the same family since 1820. It’s in one of the most beautiful settings - with magnificent views of both the mountains and the sea. And it has one of the most modern wine cellars on the island. Pascal Albertini is keeping with the family tradition of passing the vineyard from father to son. His son Alexis, who studied oenology at Montpellier University, is taking increasing responsibility of the 43ha of vines. These are perfect conditions for the native Sciaccarellu grapes that they blend with Niellucciu to make a savoury, peppery red named Tradition. Their top-level red wine, made only in exceptional years, the Prestige, is slightly more tannic. A 100% white Vermentinu, the Blanc de Blancs, is a full-bodied, well-balanced wine that is aged on the lees. They also make a sublime, late-harvest, naturally-sweet wine from the Vermentinu grape - Le Blanc Doux, that is light, fresh and surprisingly dry. You can only buy this last wine at the estate shop, which also offers Corsican honey and jam and extra-virgin olive oil made from the 1,500 olive trees on the property.

Useful information: Tasting room open Monday – Saturday, 09.00-12.00 and 15.00-18.00 English spoken.
