This 4-bedroom chambres d'hôtes is a life-saver if you want to visit wine producers in the Sud Revermont, south of Lons-le-Saunier, where there is not one decent hotel. In a nicely renovated house, your hosts Odile and René Cabut will even prepare you a well-cooked dinner of local food, if you arrange in advance, and you may well find that useful if the only decent restaurant in the area - La Maison du Revermont in Beaufort - is closed. The bedrooms are small but brightly furnished, and an ample breakfast is provided. They also have a gite to rent, and a swimming pool for summer. WiFi is patchy around the house, but works. Maynal is a lovely sleepy Jura village, also home to one of the longest established organic producer's Claude Buchot, well worth a visit while you are here.
Useful information: Rooms: €60 - €100 including breakfast. Evening meal: €20, local wine available by the glass or bottle for a small extra price.
