In the middle of nowhere about 20 minutes drive from Lons le Saunier towards the Jura mountains, this airy and highly decorated restaurant in an entirely modernized chalet-style house is worth a visit. The country-style food is attractively presented with an emphasis on seasonal produce and not too heavy as can be the case in the Jura. The friendly owners are proud of their wine list, which has a good selection of traditional Jura producers including Jacques Tissot from Arbois and Morel-Thibaut from Poligny (Côtes du Jura). You can opt to have a different wine with each course on the menus. The owners also run the small, casual restaurant Le Comptoir du Mirabilis in Lons-le-Saunier.

Useful information: Menus: €11.50 (weekday lunch); €20-€50 (evenings). Closed on Mondays July/August. Closed Monday – Wednesday inclusive the rest of the year.
