One-Day Ideal Itinerary

MORNING
Drive from Lons-le-Saunier towards Château-Chalon
Explore Château-Chalon and visit Fromageries Vagne
Visit Domaine Berthet-Bondet
Lunch at Hostellerie St-Germain or le Petit Victorien

AFTERNOON
Visit 1: Domaine Baud in Le Vernois
Drive to Baume-les-Messieurs
Explore the village and drive to the end of the ‘blind valley’
Drive back towards Lons diverting to Montaigu
Visit 2: Domaine Pignier.

Two-Day Ideal Itinerary

Day One:

MORNING
Drive from Lons-le-Saunier towards Château-Chalon
Explore Château-Chalon and visit Fromageries Vagne
Visit Domaine Berthet-Bondet
Lunch at Hostellerie Saint-Germain or Le Petit Victorien

AFTERNOON
Drive to Arlay and walk around the village
Visit 1: Caves Jean Bourdy
Visit 2: Château d’Arlay to taste wines and a walk in the park
Evening meal and overnight at Hotel Parenthèse.

Day Two:

MORNING
Visit Domaine Pignier in Montaigu
Drive to Baume-les-Messieurs stopping at a viewpoint from the cliffs
Once down in Baume-les-Messieurs, visit the abbey and explore the village
Lunch at Le Grand Jardin or Restaurant Les Grottes (summer only)

AFTERNOON
Drive back to Lons-le-Saunier for any shopping, especially beer at Bières 'Rouget de Lisle'
Drive south to Rotalier
Visit 1: Domaine Labet
Visit 2: Jean-Francois Ganevat
Evening meal at La Comédie in Lons or further out at Le Mirabilis.
