Located just off the main road south of Lons-le-Saunier, this ambitious organic estate was established officially in 2008 by Géraud and Pauline Fromont, when they were both just 25 years old, and it is certainly one of the rising stars of the region. Having taken over vineyards from a retiring vigneron, they immediately converted them to organic viticulture. The winemaking is careful and thoughtful (both studied oenology). A mission statement on their website (only in French) translates as: "our ambition is to reinterpret the know-how of our predecessors with the same attention to getting the most out of our different Jura grapes and terroirs." Having built a modern winery, they are converting part of the old barn to store Vin Jaune barrels and it doubles as a lovely tasting room. The whole range is worth trying.
