Hotel Restaurant d'Alibert

Owner Frédéric Guiraud has a commendably quirky sense of humour (he might tell you off for finishing a dish and enjoying it!), which accentuates the cosy laid-back atmosphere here (there’s also an attractive courtyard/patio area outside). Hearty regional food done very tastily, such as le vilain petit canard (‘ugly duckling’ or ‘naughty little boy’) or boudin noir aux pommes (black pudding with apple)served with copious amounts of delicious roasted vegetables. The restaurant and seven-bedroom hotel are housed in a splendid 16th-century residence, one of three built by the Alibert family (an important name around these parts).

Useful information: Menu: €28. Closed Sunday evening and Monday. Hotel closed from mid-November to mid-March.
