Château Sainte-Eulalie

Following the signposts out of La Livinière on the way to Calamiac (see ‘Walks’), you'll soon find Château Sainte-Eulalie nestling up the hillside a little. Isabelle and Laurent Coustal bought this picturesque 34ha estate in 1996 and are making tasty, spicy and structured reds based mainly on Syrah (and now a rosé too!). If you arrange it in advance, they will be happy to take you on a spin around the property, where you get a great view from the top (225m altitude) of most of the appellation and all its varied, undulating and contoured vineyards. There’s also a blue-shuttered holiday gîte on-site – email them for more information.
