Richard James Richard James lives in the Roussillon. He is a writer, web publisher/editor, translator and wine tutor and has passed the Master of Wine exams (but not the dissertation!). Paul Strang has lived in South West France for 45 years. His first book on the local wines was published in 1994 (Wines of South-West France) and later appeared in French. An entirely new book with 70 photos - The Wines and Winemakers of South-West France - comes in a co-edition between French and American publishers (2009) and has received the prestigious 'Best Wine Atlas/Tourism Book in the World' recognition at the Gourmand World Cookbook awards. He also writes on South West France for many publications including Oz Clarke's Pocket Wine Book, and on France for Larousse Des Vins. Paul is also the widely-acclaimed author (2002) of Languedoc-Rousillon: The Wines and Winemakers. His wife Jeanne is author of the classic cookbook of the area, Goose Fat and Garlic: Country Recipes from South-West France.
Paul also writes the three guides to South West France.
