This handsome Mediterranean-stone hotel is perched up in the pretty hilltop village of Aragon (signposted from both approaches, follow the road around and up past the old cooperative winery) and has eight rooms that open onto the garden or have a terrace, including one with disabled facilities. There’s also a very nice restaurant with four menus (Découverte, Garrigue, Logis and Terroir) created by chef Fabien Galibert.

Useful information: Rooms: €70-€120. Menus: €25 (weekday lunch); evening €37-€85 (includes local wines matched with each course). Closed for three weeks in October and three weeks in January.
