The Guibert family was perhaps the first to make stand-out quality Vins de Pays in the Languedoc using Mediterranean, Rhône and Bordeaux grape varieties. Pioneer Aimé Guibert has handed the reins of the estate over to his children, Samuel the eldest having worked with him since 2000. No longer alone at the head of the class, the wines are expensive but they don’t have any problem selling them! The Mas and its winery are set against the lovely backdrop of the Gassac valley lost up a lane a couple of kilometers out of the village. If you arrange  a meeting in advance, they might even crack open some of their delightful older vintages: there’s a full catalogue on their website with information on each going back to the historic first red wine made here, in 1978.

Useful information: Open every day except Sundays and public holidays from 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-18.00; in July and August open all day from 09.30-18.00. Groups (10+ people) accepted by appointment.
