From their 18-ha of vineyards, Catherine and Robert Pouderoux coax a pretty impeccable range of Côtes du Roussillon Villages, such as their Terre Brune or Latour de Grés labels, and three different benchmark Maury. The vineyards are split between sites above the village itself and Latour-de-France, and are planted mostly with red grapes: pure Grenache for Maury including some 100+ year-old, handsomely gnarled bush vines that barely seem alive; Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre for Côtes du Roussillon Villages; and one plot of Grenache Blanc, the source of a complex dry white. The wines can be tasted in their pretty little garden terrace out the back of the winery.
Useful information: The wines can be tasted on their pretty little garden terrace behind the winery most days between 11.00 and 19.00 if arranged in advance.
