Day One
MORNING
Visit 1: Domaine Lafage
Visit 2: Domaine Sarda-Malet
Lunch at Can Marty or Patio Catalan in Thuir, alternatively order lunch in advance at Domaine Treloar below.
AFTERNOON
From Thuir, take the D612 heading southeast towards Trouillas but turn right off the main road before the village, signposted for 'Roses du Canigou'. Carry on past vineyards and down over a weir (this road is the back-way into Trouillas). Treolar is the first building on the left, a sharp turn through an iron gate.
Visit 1: Domaine Treloar
Drive up all the way through the village and turn right back on to the D612 towards the N9, but turn left before the roundabout.
Visit 2: Château La Casenove
Suggestion for dinner: the Auberge du Cèdre (http://aubergeducedre66.com) just down the road on the N9, a very nice Lebanese restaurant.
Otherwise, continue driving east on the D612 over the N9 and through Bages, Montescot and Elne; then south on the N114 passing Argelès and on to Collioure or Banyuls, or alternatively stay at Château Valmy on the way.
