The Wine Region of Loire ValleySelect a guide to view or a PDF guide to purchase from the list below. |
The Loire is the longest river in France and wends its way through the area known as Le Jardin de France. Famous for its grand châteaux and for its wines of every colour and style, it is easy to take a weekend out of Paris to discover excellent wine producers, as well as soaking up the culture. There are five micro-region Guides for you to peruse, running most of the length of the Loire from Nantes, through the heart of the region around Angers and Tours, and continuing upriver to Sancerre in the Central Vineyards. The contributor for these guides, Jim Budd, has been a specialist in Loire wines for over 20 years and has a base near Tours. |
