This quiet, friendly bed-and-breakfast hotel is undoubtedly my favourite place to stay in Angers. It is wonderfully central – close to both the Boulevard Foch and the Place de Raillement but is generally very quiet and peaceful, except occasionally when a fellow guest returns early in the morning having researched the local wines rather too thoroughly. The breakfast is a generous buffet – excellent value. There is free parking in the courtyard for guests but note that the car park closes at 22.30.
Useful information: Rooms: €62-€87; breakfast: €10.
