Deep in the quiet countryside between Doué-la-Fontaine and Le-Puy-Notre-Dame, this old, fortified former wine estate and now chambres d’hôtes is run by Sue and Micaela. They offer four lovely guest rooms along with a wonderfully spacious living room. Having taken WSET® exams and studied wine production at Plumpton College in southern England, Sue and Micaela are very well qualified to arrange tastings and visits to the local vineyards for their guests. Womens’ only weeks and civil partnership honeymoons are also available. Details are on their website.
Useful information: Rooms: €90 including breakfast. Dinner available on Sundays and Mondays for €25 per person – must be booked in advance. Closed December - February inclusive.
