The dynamic Jacques Beaujeau has transformed and greatly extended the family estate since he took over the family business. He and his wife Anne now have 100ha in Anjou including parcels in Bonnezeaux and Quarts de Chaume and Château la Varière has become one of the showpieces of the Loire. They also own the 43ha Domaine de la Perruche in Montsoreau making Saumur Champigny, Saumur and Coteaux de Saumur. Beaujeau’s top wines include La Grande Chevalerie, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Anjou Villages and Les Melleresses, a Bonnezeaux.
