The Richous are another Angevine family with very long connections here dating back many centuries. Now run by Didier and his son, Damien. They have two Anjou Blancs – stainless steel fermented Chauvigné, which is delicious young, and richer age-worthy Les Rogeries, which is fermented and aged in wood. Their Anjou Villages Vieilles Vignes has long been one of the region’s benchmark reds and the sweet Coteaux de l’Aubance Cuvée les Trois Demoiselles is worth trying too.
