Long established vignerons and amongst the best in Sancerre for both their whites and reds. Like the Mellots they have remarkable cellars that burrow underneath the houses and local streets. The younger generation – cousins Jean-Dominique and Jean-Laurent – are increasingly taking over and have pushed the wines up a further notch or two. The domaine is now cultivated biodynamically. Top wines are the white Les Romains from silex soil and the red La Belle-Dame.
