Jérome and Dominique Sauvète now have 16ha of vines at Monthou, which is between Montrichard and Thesée in the Cher Valley. They are another example of the small band of very good producers in the Cher Valley. They have 7.5ha of white – Sauvignon, Chenin and Chardonnay and 8.5ha of red – Gamay, Côt, Cabernet Franc. Their top wines are Confidence (a demi-sec Sauvignon Blanc), Privilège (80% Côt and 20% Cabernet Franc) and Dédicace (a sweet late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc).
