Owned by Etienne and Pascale de Bonnaventure, the Château de Coulaine is on the road to Beaumont en Véron and Avoine – just after the roundabout with the D751 in the Chinon appellation. They have 12ha of vines which are cultivated organically. The Château de Coulaine is bottled first and is relatively easy drinking, while Clos de Turpenay and La Diablesse are two cuvées to keep.
