Today it is attracting wine lovers too, as producers move beyond making cheap and cheerful rosé to producing some serious characterful wines of all colours. Best explored out of the peak summer season, our four Guides take you through historic hilltop villages, along narrow mountain roads to spectacular vineyards overlooking the sea. You will be guided from just east of the Rhône delta north of Marseille, along the sea towards Saint Tropez and up into the more interesting hillsides inland.
