This traditional stone château was purchased by the Schneider family, of Breitling watches, several years ago, and their ambitious projects include an extensive re-planting of the vineyards; there is a boutique with an excellent range of gourmet items, including a range of sea salts from all parts of the world, decorative sugars, oils, vinegars, teas and coffees; also a tea room, with lunches served. This is well worth a visit for the beautiful architecture, a beautifully restored chapel, the shop and the olive oil. In December the shop expands to a ‘Christmas Fair’, with an excellent choice of gastronomic and other gift ideas. The wines include an opulent, full flavoured wood fermented white, rich, smoky and attractive, and a rewarding, full flavoured and spicy old vines red from Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah.
