After a couple of years in publishing, the theatre and backpacking, Elizabeth early on discovered the joys of working in wine. Since the mid 1980s she has focused on the wines of South Eastern France and has been on hand to see the great strides made in the developing quality of the wines as well as the not so great strides in the urbanisation of many areas. Elizabeth graduated as a Master of Wine in 1998 and has since then been involved in the Masters’ education programme. She was on Institute of Masters of Wine Council from 2005-8. Since moving to South East France in 2002 she has continued to specialize and write about Provence and about Hungary, as well as acting as an international wine judge and consultant.
