Alain Combard founded the vineyard in 1979 and was amongst the early Provencal estates to follow the organic route. Situated between Bormes les Mimosa and Hyères and next to the Exotic Bird Park, this family run vineyard makes a range of wines from basic, middle of the range to Reserve level. Their top reds are made with a large percentage of Mourvèdre and a smaller amount of Syrah. In the Reserve, the grapes are fermented together followed by pigeage (punch down). Both wines are deeply coloured, intense spicy wines. Their Reserve white is 100% Vermentino aged in barrique and possibly reflects the family’s Burgundian roots; their Vieilles Vignes rosé is also fuller bodied than usual.
