John is a fanatic about Rhône wines and has been regularly visiting the Northern Rhône for more than 20 years. He lives in Essex but he and his wife Joan own a house in the Bouches du Rhône department which they try to visit every month. John has planted a small vineyard there (Syrah, Viognier and Roussanne of course) and has a large cellar of Northern Rhône wines. To earn a living John is a management consultant to social housing organisations. When not in France, John is a keen fishermen and former English National fly-fishing champion and member of the England International Fly-Fishing Team.
