This is now probably the best domaine in Côte Rôtie. They make two different Côte Rôties: An excellent standard cuvée and a Côte de Brune. There is also a very good Côtes du Rhône made from young vines. The domaine is run by Jean-Paul Jamet and his brother Jean-Luc. It is situated in the hills behind Ampuis and you get a good view of the vineyards as you drive up to the hamlet of Le Vallin.
Useful information: Appointment essential. Open Monday-Saturday 09.00-12.00 and 14.00–19.00. Closed Sundays and Public Holidays. Small groups welcome. A little English spoken.
