Georges Lelektsoglou runs an excellent wine shop on the main square in Tain. I have been visiting for more than 15 years (he was previously in Tournon) and every year he comes up with something new or different to taste. This year it was a 100% Chasselas from 100 year old vines which used to belong to Raymond Trollat and is now vinified by an Australian! Georges always has a range of wines open for tasting and he really knows what is going on locally. He is one place that you may find Chave, the top Guigal and Chapoutier wines but also the best of Crozes, Saint Joseph and Cornas. Georges speaks a little English and his assistant is fluent.
