An interesting domaine to visit in the little known St-Péray appellation. Stéphane Robert is the up and coming vigneron of the appellation and is also a major force in Cornas . He has taken over the vineyards of Marcel Juge and now has access to the old vines which used to produce Marcel’s selection Côteau Cornas. Both the cellars and a tasting room/shop are situated in the main shopping street in St-Péray and a tasting of the full range of wines if offered, There are interesting wines to taste including 100% Rousanne and Marsanne versions of still St-Péray as well as a range of Cornas including his concentrated Vin Noir and special Pur Noir.
Useful information: Open every week day 10.00-12.30 and 14.00-19.30, no appointment needed. Weekends by appointment. Groups welcome. Some staff speak a little English. If you wish to meet Stéphane and visit the cellars it would be better to telephone in advance.
