Take the D68 north of Châteauneuf du Pape, turn left up a signposted winding tarmac road through the vineyards to the cellars. The vineyards show the classic ‘pudding stone’ soil of the region. Owned by the Fabre and Abeille families, this is one of the few domaines to have mature vintages for sale. Very friendly enthusiastic welcome, especially on weekdays.
Useful information: The domaine is open for sales and tasting seven days a week 08.00-19.00, but the weekend visits offer only a limited tasting and range of wines. For a more detailed visit to the cellars or vineyard, phone in advance to arrange a date. Groups welcomed by appointment. English spoken.
