Welsh chef Siôn Evans and his Savoie-born wife Delphine opened at the Panoramic in December 2010 having moved from their tiny restaurant La Fresque, the other side of Chambéry, that they had run since 2004. Siôn trained with London's Nico Ladenis, and has travelled widely, giving him many influences. Bringing a faithful clientele with them, they have dubbed their new restaurant, a 'bistronomique' by which they seem to mean simply somewhere that you can eat really well, but in relaxed surroundings and leaving as the chef wants, with a smile on your face. The restaurant is in a little chalet perched above the vineyards of Monterminod, above the city of Chambéry and you can enjoy a lovely mountain view over to Mont Granier on the big terrace for summer. Inside, the tables are on two levels with contemporary, but unfussy place settings in quite traditional surroundings. The food is simply just right, fresh ingredients and lovely flavours, with a flexibly priced menu. On our last visit in December 2012 the food was better than ever and the wine list excellent with a good selection of organic wines from around France and an excellent Savoie wine choice. In 2015 they changed the name to Alptitudes
