If you haven’t time to explore the area up the mountain known as Le Beaufortain, where Beaufort cheese comes from, then you can buy excellent quality cheese from this shop connected with the Moutiers cheese cooperative (www.beaufortdesmontagnes.com) – the prices are much cheaper than buying from other specialist cheese shops, supermarkets or produce markets and the quality is good. The shop sells other locally produced foods like crozets, honey, sweet and syrups.
Useful information: Open Tuesdays - Saturday 09.00 (Saturday 08.30)-12.00 and 14.30-19.00; Mondays afternoons only.
