Domaine Saint Germain

Address: Route du Col du Frêne, 73250 St-Pierre d’Albigny
Tel: 04 79 28 61 68  Fax: 04 79 28 61 68
Geo-coordinates:  Latitude: 45:34:26N (45.57389)    Longitude: 6:9:42E (6.16175)

The domaine was created in 1999 by brothers Etienne and Raphaël who came from a vineyard-owning family and both trained in wine. Today Raphaël runs the estate and has gradually built up the vineyard holdings and gained a loyal clientele. With quiet determination, they converted their vineyards to organic growing and over the simple winemaking cellar built a tasting room overlooking the town of St-Pierre d’Albigny and the Combe de Savoie. It is worth tasting through their range – the best wines are usually their Roussette and two cuvées of Mondeuse, the fruitier Les Taillis and the more structured and ageworthy Le Pied de la Barme from older vines. You will receive a reserved, but genuine welcome.

Useful information: Open Fridays 17.00-19.00 and Saturdays 10.00-12.00 and 16.00-20.00. In July and August open every day 17.30-19.00. All other times by appointment only, best to phone Raphaël’s mobile phone on 06 10 71 13 85. A little English spoken.
