The Wine Region of South West FranceSelect a guide to view or a PDF guide to purchase from the list below. |
Although the South West doesn't have a romantic ring about it, you will fall in love with the landscapes in this vast region, stretching from south of Bordeaux down the west side of France to the Pyrenees and the border with Spain. Vineyards are scattered, often in beautiful river valleys, and the division of our three micro-region Guides reflects this. From the Dordogne, where many wines have the same grape varieties as Bordeaux, through the eclectic wines of the Tarn and Lot, to the mountain-influenced wines of Gascony and the Basque country, a good Guide can really pay off here, and our writer Paul Strang is one of the very best experts in this region. |
