Robert and Agnes Schulte are delightful hosts with excellent English. They own a picture-book property overlooking the Garonne and the wines are good too. The mainstream red is lightly aged in oak, the top Clos de l’Oratoire more so. But buy a bottle of their open-air wine ‘Galapian’ and ask if you can enjoy your picnic under the fabulous oak tree with views all over the Garonne Valley.

Useful information: No charge for tasting but make an appointment. Small groups perhaps. Not open Sundays or public holidays.
