With ten rooms this is everything a country auberge should be; at the centre of a pretty village, quiet, shaded terrace at street level and delicious local cooking - pounti (a kind of ham and cabbage loaf), truffade (potato and cheese pancake) and local goats’ cheeses from the village. Local wines too and handy for visiting wine producer Laurent Mousset almost next door. Madame Albespy sometimes runs gastronomic weekends with mushroom hunting. Contact the hotel for details.
Useful information: Rooms €57-€68; breakfast €8.50. Menus: €17-€42. Half-board available (see website). Open April to early November. Restaurant closed weekday lunchtimes (except Saturday) and all day Sunday out of the summer season.
